ECO Material
Trueway prefers to adopt eco-friendly elements which are recycled, renewable or chemically optimized in its product ranges providing long-lasting, low pollution characteristics without compromising on the quality.
Recycled
Material is made by pre-consumer and/or post-consumer recycled content such as recycled polyester and Nylon.
Recycled Polyester
The recycled polyester is made from recycled plastic containers, which are collected and treated with sorting, separating, washing, breaking, drying and crushing, to process to yarn. The recycled polyester not only reduces discards and toxic emissions from incinerators, but also decreases our dependency on oil.
Recycled Nylon
The recycled nylon Trueway uses in some of its products comes from post-industrial waste fiber and yarn collected from textile factories, and processed into reusable nylon fiber through sorting, screening, crushing, extruding, chipping and spinning. It uses no crude oil, reduces discards, requires less energy and emits less CO2 than virgin nylon.
Renewable
Material is replenished with natural origin, such as bamboo, corn or graphite, to bring functionalities whilst minimizing environmental impact.
Sorona@
Sorona® contains 37% renewable sourced material (by weight) derived from corn. It replaces petrochemicals to reduce our dependency on oil. Sorona® provides many advantages, such as softness, comfort-stretch and recovery, vibrant colors, UV and chlorine resistance, and easy care. It also blends well with other fibers to provide unique design capabilities for fabric manufacturers. Compared to the process of nylon chips, Sorona® reduces 30% of energy consumptio and 63% of CO2 emission.
Chemically optimized
Material is produced in a way that reduces the use of toxic substance, such as polypropylene.
Polypropylene (PP)
The PP fiber is a polymer made up of carbon and hydrogen molecules. It is biodegradable with low environmental impact. The fiber not only possesses low temperature dyeing features, but allows the end-products to keep several prominent characteristics: moisture-transferring, quick drying, light and antibacterial.
